Job description

As IT Coordinator for our two Amsterdam properties, you will be the on-site first point of contact for Level 1 IT support. You will help colleagues and guests resolve technical issues, support the hotels’ systems and infrastructure, and work closely with Hyatt’s Shared Services Centre in Mainz, Germany., You will combine hands-on technical support with clear communication, a service-minded approach and strong troubleshooting skills. You will act as the Shared Services Centre’s on-site eyes and hands and report to the Area Director of Finance.

  • Provide Level 1 technical support to colleagues, including user guidance, training, troubleshooting and procedure documentation.

  • Help guests connect their devices to the hotel guest Wi-Fi network.

  • Support the Shared Services Centre with infrastructure changes, software updates, upgrades and rollouts.

  • Escalate and coordinate issues with the Shared Services Centre, the Hyatt Service Desk in Chicago and third-party service providers.

  • Maintain safe, tidy and serviceable IT work areas and equipment.

  • Create dedicated networks for groups and events.

  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery tests, vulnerability scans and audits.

  • Contribute to the annual capital expenditure (CAPEX) budget for IT replacements.

  • Help ensure that the hotels’ IT environments comply with Hyatt standards.

  • Conduct regular testing and provide clear feedback to management.

Requirements

  • Practical experience in IT support, with strong troubleshooting and customer-service skills.

  • Strong knowledge of network and Wi-Fi configuration for Windows and macOS devices.

  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams and Windows clients.

  • Good understanding of network fundamentals, including switches, patching, VLANs and firewalls.

  • Confidence performing minor hardware repairs, such as replacing a hard drive, laptop battery, laptop screen or printer fuser.

  • A proactive, organised and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently.

  • Fluency in English.

  • The right to live and work in the Netherlands.

Preferred

  • A background in hospitality and/or IT, ideally with experience in a hotel environment.

  • Knowledge of hotel technology, such as OPERA Property Management System, MICROS Simphony Point of Sale, VingCard key systems, payment terminals and interfaces, and telephone systems.

  • Knowledge of configuring CCTV systems, particularly Milestone.

  • Dutch-language skills.
