Job description

Join our expanding service team as a Service Technician with an established and growing machine tool distributor.

Rosco Precision Machinery, LLC supplies equipment solutions to the PNW, selling, installing, calibrating, repairing, and servicing equipment for a wide variety of end users: OEMs, manufacturing plants, machine shops, R&D facilities, laboratories, medical device manufacturers, design studios & defense contractors.

The role of Service Technician is responsible for resolving mechanical, software, & electrical equipment problems in the field and at customer locations throughout Washington, Oregon & Idaho.

A successful candidate has work experience and a proven track record with integrated mechanical and electrical systems. Excellent communication skills with external and internal technical support resources and customers is required. A customer focus and empathetic disposition are also required as this role is an on-site in the field position with responsibility for customer satisfaction and resolving customer needs. Additional requirements include strong computer & networking skills, ability with a wide variety of software, reading exploded part diagrams & electrical schematics, a working knowledge of electronics, use of multimeter, understanding of precision tolerances, and skill with common hand tools, indicators, & micrometers.

The Service Technician will report to the Service Manager daily and complete service orders submitting paperwork and reports in a timely manner. Extensive factory training and certification is provided. Routine regional travel and periodic nights on the road are required. CNC controls experience with Fanuc, Heidenheim, or Siemens along with CAD/CAM software, and/or measurement control software is a huge plus with even more potential.
