Job description

We are is seeking a Design Engineer to support the design and execution of custom-engineered pressure vessels, separators, treaters, production equipment, and modular process packages for the oil and gas industry. This role works closely with sales, project management, manufacturing, quality, and customers to develop practical, code-compliant designs that support efficient fabrication and on-time project execution., * Design and document pressure vessels, separators, treaters, skids, and piping/structural assemblies - 3D models, fabrication and assembly drawings - using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Compress, or similar tools, based on customer RFQs, specifications, etc.

  • Review customer RFQs, datasheets, specifications, P&IDs, and general arrangements to establish design requirements.
  • Utilize software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Compress, or equivalent design tools.
  • Provide technical support to fabrication, quality control, welding, NDE, hydrotest, coating, and final assembly teams.
  • Review fabrication issues, field changes, customer comments, etc., and implement engineering revisions as needed.
  • Support fabrication, welding, NDE, hydrotest, coating, and QC teams, resolving field concerns and driving engineering revisions and design reviews with customers and authorized inspectors.
  • Coordinate with authorized inspectors and quality personnel to support ASME code documentation and turnover packages.
  • Maintain ASME code documentation, drawing standards, and revision control while leading continuous improvement in design efficiency and manufacturability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on design efficiency, standardization, and manufacturability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in pressure vessel, process equipment, or oil & gas fabrication design preferred
  • Proficiency with: SolidWorks (preferred), AutoCAD, Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read and interpret: P&IDs, Process datasheets, Customer specifications
