Job description
You’ll provide a combination of remote and onsite support to a wide range of business customers across London and the surrounding areas. Every day is different, giving you exposure to a broad range of technologies, environments and projects. The Role
As an IT Support Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring customers receive a first-class IT support service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1st and 2nd line IT support to business customers.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and networking issues.
- Installing and configuring desktops, laptops and peripherals.
- Supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
- Managing user accounts and permissions within Active Directory.
- Troubleshooting Windows operating systems and business applications.
- Visiting customer sites to resolve technical issues and carry out planned work.
- Assisting with IT installations, upgrades and technology projects.
- Setting up new users, devices and workstations.
- Working to agreed service levels while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
- Building trusted relationships with customers through excellent communication and professionalism.
Requirements
Are you an experienced IT Support Engineer who enjoys working directly with customers, solving technical challenges and building long-term relationships?
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing technology business looking to expand its customer support team in London. This home-based role offers the opportunity to work independently while being part of a collaborative and supportive technical team., You’ll enjoy working with people as much as technology and take pride in delivering an excellent customer experience.
Ideally you’ll have experience with:
- Windows 10 & Windows 11
- Microsoft 365
- Active Directory
- Microsoft Office applications
- Basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS & DHCP)
- Desktop and laptop support
- Hardware troubleshooting and replacement
- IT Service Desk or Helpdesk ticketing systems
Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Microsoft 365 migrations
- Server infrastructure
- Cloud technologies
- ITIL or CompTIA certifications, * Previous experience in a 1st/2nd Line IT Support role.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A logical approach to problem solving.
- The ability to work independently from home.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- A full UK driving licence essential
