Business Analyst 3 - Local to TX F2F

seeking an experienced Business Analyst 3 to support a critical legacy system modernization initiative. This role will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are translated into detailed functional and technical requirements for solution implementation. The selected consultant will work closely with program leadership, subject matter experts, architects, development teams, and vendors to document current business processes, identify improvement opportunities, define future-state solutions, and ensure successful delivery through testing and implementation. This position requires an experienced Business Analyst with strong requirements gathering, business process analysis, stakeholder management, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) experience., Analyze existing legacy business systems and identify process inefficiencies. Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements. Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions. Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and other project artifacts. Create business process maps, workflows, use cases, and future-state process models. Serve as the liaison between business users, project teams, technical architects, developers, and vendors. Evaluate solution alternatives and recommend business and technical improvements. Perform business process reengineering to improve operational efficiency. Assist with project planning, scope management, and requirements traceability. Manage requirement changes and negotiate requirement priorities with stakeholders. Support procurement activities by documenting business requirements for vendor solution development. Develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, scenarios, and test cases. Coordinate and support UAT activities with business users. Validate delivered solutions against documented business requirements. Identify project risks, dependencies, and business impacts. Participate in implementation planning, knowledge transfer, and production readiness activities.
