Windows Desktop Migration Engineer - INTL India

Insight Global is seeking a Windows Desktop Migration Engineer to support one of our largest financial clients in Bangalore or Hyderabad. This engineer will join the Enterprise Technology Operations group to help drive a major migration initiative, moving hundreds of thousands of users from on prem virtual desktop infrastructure to Azure cloud. The firm’s virtual desktops currently run on on prem systems and must be transitioned to Azure-based cloud desktops. After applications are migrated, this engineer will be responsible for identifying and debugging issues, partnering directly with application owners to resolve problems and ensure full functionality in the new environment. Success in this role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with application owners to validate, troubleshoot, and support the seamless migration of applications into the cloud environment.

Strong understanding of cloud concepts and cloud-based application environments

Expertise in Windows environments

Strong debugging skills in Python and Java; prior coding background required

Experience in testing and validation experience

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
