Job description

The Offshore Engineer will support the “Keeping the Lights on Team”, operating primarily in the background of triaging and feature development. Modeled after the skill set of a Java, Springboot Microservices developer, this role focuses on execution rather than ownership - supporting tickets, feature work, and production stability without direct collaboration with onshore engineers.

Requirements

Feature Development within a Java, Springboot, Microservices environment

  • Strong Java and backend troubleshooting experience

  • Production incident triage experience

  • Retail Domain Experience

  • Working knowledge of GCP, GKE and Kubernetes basics

  • SQL knowledge

  • Analyzing logs, metrics, and traces to identify issues

  • Root-cause Analysis -POS domain experience
