We’re hiring a contract HR Data Analyst to support , equity, and reporting for a leading professional services organization in Chicago’s Loop. You don’t need prior DEI experience. You need strong analytical skills, experience working with data, and a genuine interest in producing accurate, meaningful reporting.

What you’ll do

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative workforce data and create clear reports, tables, charts, and dashboards
  • Calculate representation, retention, attrition, and trend metrics across employee populations
  • Prepare responses to internal leadership requests, client data requests, and external survey questionnaires
  • Support voluntary self-identification and workforce data collection efforts
  • Evaluate staffing, participation, and workforce trends over time
  • Prepare submissions for external certifications, rankings, benchmarking programs, and industry surveys
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to deliver accurate, validated reporting
  • Ensure data integrity through ongoing quality control, reconciliation, and validation processes

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a data analysis, reporting, workforce analytics, HR analytics, or similar role
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, trend analysis, and rate calculations
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, or a similar reporting and visualization platform
  • Strong data validation, comparison, and reconciliation skills
  • Experience working with databases and structured data sources
  • Ability to explain methodologies, assumptions, and findings to non-technical audiences
  • Experience working in a law firm environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
