Job description

This is going to be a classic Mainframe Developer role. Long term project as part of a modernization effort. Great manager and team to work with, super responsive and moves very quickly., This role focuses on supporting client conversions, deconversions, data updates, and enterprise modernization initiatives. The engineer will develop and maintain mainframe applications, process client data changes, support internal conversion events such as mergers and acquisitions, and partner closely with technical and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The role also provides opportunities to learn and contribute to modernization efforts by migrating legacy processes to distributed platforms and cloud technologies.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of hands-on mainframe development experience using COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and SQL. Experience with File-Aid, Eztrieve, and SPUFI is preferred, while exposure to SnapLogic, Snowflake, AWS, Java, Angular, or Python is a plus. Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills are important, along with the ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
