Our client, a growing North Carolina-based Managed IT Services Provider (MSP), is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join their collaborative team. In this role, you will provide Level 1 support to business clients, resolving common hardware, software, Microsoft 365, and end-user issues while escalating more complex problems as needed. This position is fully in-office, providing remote help desk support for workstation deployments, hardware installations, and client onboarding. IT Support Specialist (L1/Help Desk) Responsibilities
- Respond to client support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system
- Provide Level 1 remote and occasional onsite technical support
- Troubleshoot Windows PCs, Microsoft 365, printers, mobile devices, and basic network connectivity issues
- Perform password resets, user account administration, and basic Active Directory support
- Configure and deploy workstations, laptops, and other end-user hardware
- Document support requests and escalate complex issues as needed
- Assist with new client onboarding, workstation deployments, and day-to-day technical support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT field OR 1+ years of help desk, desktop support, or IT support experience required (MSP experience preferred)
- Strong Windows 10/11 desktop support experience required
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and Active Directory required
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service mindset required, * Bachelor’s (Preferred), * IT support, help desk, or desktop support: 1 year (Preferred)
- Windows 10/11 desktop support: 1 year (Required)
- Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Office): 1 year (Required)
- Active Directory user administration: 1 year (Required)
- ticketing system/PSA tool: 1 year (Preferred)
