Job description

We are seeking a motivated and dependable IT Field Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for providing onsite technical support to businesses by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer systems, networks, audiovisual equipment, and security camera systems. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, solving technical problems, and delivering outstanding customer service., * Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop computers
  • Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues
  • Install and maintain wired and wireless networks
  • Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points
  • Install and troubleshoot printers and other peripherals
  • Install, configure, and maintain security camera systems (IP cameras/NVRs)
  • Install and support audiovisual equipment, including TVs, displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, and conference room systems
  • Run, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 network cabling
  • Perform onsite service calls at customer locations
  • Document work performed and communicate project status with clients and management
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle (if provided)

Requirements

  • 1+ years of IT support or field technician experience
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Experience troubleshooting computer hardware and software
  • Preferred knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches, Wi-Fi) Depending on experience & background open to teaching.
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work on ladders when needed
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred but will offer hands on training for the right candidate

  • Experience with security camera systems (IP cameras, NVRs)
  • Experience installing audiovisual equipment
  • Experience running and terminating network cabling
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud-based environments
