Job description

We are looking for a Lab IT Support Engineer to support laboratory software, instrument-connected computers, and Windows-based lab environments., * Install, configure, and troubleshoot laboratory software applications.

  • Support Windows OS upgrades, compatibility testing, and system maintenance.
  • Manage instrument-connected PCs and resolve software, licensing, and connectivity issues.
  • Create and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, VBScript, and VBA.
  • Support SQL databases, data transfers, and integrations with laboratory systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams on software deployments and technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, peripherals, network connectivity, and user-reported incidents.
  • Maintain documentation, inventory, and security compliance for laboratory systems.

Requirements

  • Experience with Windows administration and software installation/support.
  • Hands-on experience with PowerShell, VBScript (VBS), or VBA scripting.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, networking, and Active Directory.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting scientific, laboratory, manufacturing, or industrial applications is preferred.

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to OpenLab, Chromeleon, ChemStation, LIMS, or similar lab software.
  • Experience working with instrument-connected systems and regulated environments.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong Windows support and scripting background who enjoys solving software installation, automation, and system support challenges. Skills
