Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Automate deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible to ensure repeatability and efficiency.
- Manage and optimize cloud resources across multiple platforms including GCP, AWS, Rackspace, VMware, OpenStack, and Citrix environments.
- Implement and oversee cloud management strategies for Public Cloud services, ensuring seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services to support application development and system integrations.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues related to distributed systems, virtualization, and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Enforce system hardening practices, manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions, and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodologies to streamline the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for cloud applications.

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled GCP Platform Engineer to join our innovative cloud engineering team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your expertise will drive the development of robust cloud architectures, automate deployment processes, and optimize cloud services to support our business objectives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced environment dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation., * Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) along with familiarity in AWS, Azure, Rackspace, OpenStack, VMware, and Citrix environments.
- Strong understanding of Service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices architecture, and SaaS/PaaS/IaaS models.
- Proficiency in managing IT infrastructure using automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, PowerShell, Bash scripting, and Shell Scripting.
- Deep knowledge of cloud computing concepts including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Virtualization technologies like VMware and Docker containers.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure management tools like Kubernetes for container orchestration; Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines; Git for version control.
- Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Go, JavaScript; experienced in developing RESTful APIs and web services using various frameworks.
- Familiarity with databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server; NoSQL databases like NoSQL solutions are a plus.
- Strong understanding of system security practices including system hardening techniques; experience managing identity access solutions such as IAM is essential.
- Knowledge of network security protocols including VPNs; experience configuring Virtual Private Networks is advantageous.
