Job description

  • Start the morning reviewing overnight inquiries, confirming schedules, and preparing the service board.
  • Answer calls and emails with professionalism and care, clarifying needs and setting clear expectations.
  • Match the right technician to each job, factoring in location, urgency, and availability-then route teams to customer sites.
  • Capture every detail in our customer management system so the next handoff is seamless.
  • Collaborate with management when complex situations arise and ensure customers feel supported from first hello to final resolution., * Customer interaction: Provide courteous, informed support via phone and email; offer guidance and service options.
  • Problem solving & scheduling: Assess needs, schedule appropriate services, and escalate sophisticated issues to management when needed.
  • Documentation: Record inquiries, updates, and outcomes with accuracy in our CRM/customer management tools.
  • Dispatch & coordination: Efficiently dispatch vehicles and coordinate personnel to meet customer requests by considering location, urgency, and availability, and by routing teams to customer sites.
  • Product knowledge: Build working knowledge of our commercial and industrial door products and services to give accurate information.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; AA/BA preferred.
  • 1-3 years in customer service or an administrative role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and sound decision-making.
  • Precise data entry and attention to detail.
  • Comfort thriving in a fast-paced setting with smart prioritization.
  • Patience, empathy, and a customer-first mindset.
  • Team orientation and professionalism under pressure.
  • Proficiency with customer service software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Work setting

  • Onsite role at our service center (not remote).
  • Regular shifts available within business hours of 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Office environment; operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Ability to walk short distances and sit for extended periods.
  • Moderate office noise level.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
