Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related IT discipline or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of hands-on development experience with Natural and ADABAS in enterprise environments
Proven experience developing and supporting Natural applications (online and batch)
Extensive experience performing:

*Complex debugging and root-cause analysis

*Production issue resolution and performance tuning

*Ad-hoc data analysis and reconciliation

Demonstrated ability to write and maintain clear technical documentation, including program specifications and operational runbooks
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders
Strong working knowledge of:

*ADABAS database structures, files, and access paths

*Natural subprograms, maps, and batch processing

*Job scheduling and execution via JCL and/or SCL, * Experience supporting large, long-lived Natural/ADABAS codebases

Comfort working in regulated or high-reliability environments (financial services, insurance, government, etc.)
Exposure to data modernization efforts, system integrations, or migration initiatives
Strong analytical mindset - able to reason through data flows, edge cases, and unintended impacts
Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar legacy code and improve it safely
