Job description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an to support a company focused on delivering resilient, secure network solutions across the global Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN). This position is at or The will provide hands-on network implementation, activation, and operational support for mission-critical DoD networks, ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with DISA standards. This role directly supports national defense operations by enabling reliable, secure connectivity for DoD mission partners worldwide.
- Perform installation oversight, configuration, testing, monitoring, and activation of network equipment supporting DoD networks
- Coordinate customer activities including Initial Test & Acceptance (IT&A), service activations, and DISA-required reporting
- Manage Service Orders and Telecommunication Service Orders (TSOs) in accordance with Change Management procedures
- Configure and implement network devices using approved configlets while validating customer requirements within DISN databases
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve network issues by collaborating with customers, solution architects, DISA PMs, and vendor SMEs
Requirements
- 2-8 years of relevant network engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 2-6 years with a Master’s degree
- Experience configuring and supporting enterprise networks using Cisco and/or Juniper technologies
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols including BGP, ISIS, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, WAN, VPN, TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS
- Experience performing network configuration, testing, monitoring, performance management, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with DISA standards, Change Management processes, and DoD telecommunications concepts
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a technical team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related technical field
