Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a to support the , an organization responsible for providing, operating, and securing critical communications and network services for the Department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. This position is in . The will provide network operations, engineering sustainment, and lifecycle support for a mission-critical IP messaging and communications transport network. This is an exciting opportunity to support national security initiatives while ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of enterprise-scale network infrastructure.

  • Perform network integration, testing, security engineering, implementation, and configuration support for enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with network architects to develop and maintain STIG-compliant configuration baselines, version control, and compliance tracking processes.
  • Support system performance optimization, continuous service improvement initiatives, incident escalation, problem management, and root cause analysis activities.
  • Create and maintain Engineering Implementation Plans (EIPs), SOPs, and TTPs while supporting operational readiness for new engineering solutions.
  • Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, IPS devices, load balancers, and WAN technologies.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience engineering, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise networks with routing and switching technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, firewall/security devices, MPLS, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, VLANs, VoIP, Multicast, and related network technologies.
  • Strong understanding of defense-in-depth principles, network security architecture, IP addressing/subnetting, technical documentation, and customer-facing communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
