Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Salesforce Security Analyst/Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our Salesforce environment by implementing, monitoring, and maintaining robust security measures. Your expertise will help ensure our customer data remains protected against evolving threats while supporting compliance with industry standards and regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your cybersecurity skills within a fast-paced, innovative organization committed to excellence in IT security management., * Design, develop, and implement security protocols and controls tailored for Salesforce platforms, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
- Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments and vulnerability management activities specific to Salesforce environments, identifying potential threats and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Monitor security event management systems (SIEM) to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents related to Salesforce data and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to integrate Salesforce security measures with network security components such as firewalls (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS systems, VPNs, and network protocols like IPsec.
- Perform regular security assessments including vulnerability research, penetration testing, and system hardening to maintain a resilient Salesforce environment.
- Manage identity & access management (IAM), including SSO integrations, LDAP configurations, role-based access controls (RBAC), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Lead incident response efforts for Salesforce-related security breaches or anomalies, ensuring swift recovery and thorough investigation following cybersecurity frameworks like NIST standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering or analysis within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform; familiarity with cloud security engineering principles is essential.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), network support tools like SolarWinds or PRTG, and network infrastructure components such as Cisco routers and Juniper devices.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce security features including system security plans, encryption methods, user authentication protocols (SSO), and open-source tools for threat detection & response.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM platforms (Splunk), incident management systems, vulnerability assessment tools, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
- Technical proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks related to system security monitoring or incident response.
- Knowledge of relevant standards such as ISO 27000 series, PCI DSS compliance requirements, FIPS encryption standards, and IT governance frameworks like COBIT or ITIL.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to analyze complex security events while maintaining a proactive approach toward threat detection and incident recovery.
