Manager for the Professional Career Escalators (PCE) Program, UMKC Career Servic

The Manager of the Professional Career Escalators (PCE) Program oversees the daily operations, delivery, and assessment of a comprehensive student success, career readiness, and leadership development program. This position is responsible for teaching career development courses, coordinating student engagement initiatives, managing program scholarships and supplemental funding processes, advising students, and supporting programmatic events and partnerships that enhance student success and career outcomes., * Teach and facilitate career development course content aligned with career readiness competencies for PCE student cohorts and other student populations.

• Provide individual and group advising to support students’ academic, leadership, and career development goals.
• Coordinate and deliver program orientations, workshops, networking events, and leadership development experiences.
• Manage student participation, engagement tracking, program eligibility, and academic standing.
• Administer scholarship and supplemental funding processes in collaboration with Financial Aid and campus partners.
• Maintain accurate student records and utilize institutional systems to monitor student progress and outcomes.
• Supervise and support graduate assistants and student staff as assigned.
• Assist in managing program budgets, operational expenses, and assessment activities.
• Collaborate with campus partners to support student success initiatives.

A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary, * Master’s degree preferred in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, Education, or a related field.

• Experience in student development, career services, program management, teaching, training, or advising.
• Experience teaching career development, leadership, or student success coursework.
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while working effectively with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of NACE Career Readiness Competencies and best practices in student development.
• Experience with student information systems, learning management systems, and engagement platforms.

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $53,976 - $59,244 annually.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
