Job description
Apply systems engineering principles to plan, develop, integrate, verify, and support complex aircraft system solutions throughout the product lifecycle. Analyze technical requirements, coordinate cross-functional activities, and resolve engineering issues while supporting the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program. Develop planning processes, manage technical risks, and optimize system performance to ensure mission success., * Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify system-of-systems solutions
- Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements
- Integrate technical parameters while ensuring compatibility across physical, functional, and program interfaces
- Perform analyses to optimize system architecture, affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, and system security
- Develop requirements management, risk management, issue management, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes
- Resolve cross-functional technical issues supporting engineering objectives
- Support the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program by integrating modern engine technology into legacy aircraft architecture
- Coordinate with engineering teams to develop technical plans addressing program challenges
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and typically 5+ years of experience in an engineering classification, or a Master’s degree and typically 3+ years of experience in an engineering classification, or a PhD with experience in an engineering classification
- 5+ years of experience with Aircraft Systems and Systems Engineering
- Demonstrate knowledge of systems engineering processes
- Apply general knowledge of aircraft systems
- Provide organization to technical issues and engineering activities
- Develop planning tasks and execution plans
- Exhibit strong communication skills to support cross-functional planning
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
- Preferred Skills
- Experience with Aircraft Systems Troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Aircraft Systems/Software
