- Troubleshoot computer hardware components, peripherals, and equipment to identify faults and implement solutions quickly.
- Manage customer support tickets efficiently using tools such as ServiceNow or Jira, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
- Support Windows and macOS operating systems, including installation, configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain and support IT infrastructure components such as Active Directory management, DNS configuration, VPN access, firewalls like Meraki or Cisco ASA, and network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, LAN).
- Assist with desktop support tasks including hardware upgrades, computer management via GPO (Group Policy Objects), SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), and BMC Remedy.
- Collaborate with network administration teams to resolve LAN/WAN issues and optimize network performance.
- Support mobile devices and ensure security protocols are followed for all endpoints.
- Document issues thoroughly, analyze recurring problems for root cause identification, and suggest improvements to enhance system reliability.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and proficiency in troubleshooting related software issues.
- Extensive experience with help desk systems such as ServiceNow or Jira for ticket management.
- Solid understanding of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPNs, firewalls (e.g., Meraki), and LAN/WAN environments.
- Hands-on experience supporting Windows (including Windows Server) and macOS operating systems in a corporate setting.
- Familiarity with Active Directory management, user account provisioning, GPOs, SCCM deployment strategies, and computer management tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware components like desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals effectively.
- Knowledge of Linux systems administration is a plus for supporting diverse environments.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical users while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
- Analysis skills to identify patterns in incidents or recurring problems for proactive resolution strategies.
