Job description

A new vacancy has arisen in IT Services to provide IT support to our staff and students. You will be working as part of the IT Services team and will report to the Service Desk Manager., * Provide first and second-line technical support to staff and students via walk-in, phone, email, and remote support tools

  • Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests
  • Log, track, and update support tickets using the IT Service Management system
  • Communicate clearly with non-technical users, explaining solutions in plain language

Hardware & Software Support

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop PCs, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Windows 11 operating systems and standard college applications
  • Support Microsoft Office 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and OneDrive
  • Perform routine maintenance, updates, and system checks to ensure optimal performance

Requirements

You will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service and technical support. The successful candidate must be capable of managing their own workload efficiently and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to demonstrate PC hardware and software fault-finding skills and have an ability to learn quickly and solve technical problems. A good working knowledge of Windows 11 operating systems, Microsoft 365 and other common software packages is essential. Experience with Active Directory and a basic understanding of networking is desirable. It is essential that you have a relevant Level 3 qualification in an IT related subject or equivalent experience. You must show a commitment to outstanding customer service.
