Job description
We are recruiting for a 1st Line Network Support Engineer to join a growing managed services team supporting a range of customer environments.
You will be the first point of contact for technical incidents and service requests, responsible for logging and prioritising tickets, completing initial troubleshooting, keeping customers updated and escalating more complex issues to the appropriate support team.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a service desk, NOC or 1st line support role
- A good understanding of networking, including routing, switching and connectivity
- Experience working with ticketing systems and SLAs
- Strong troubleshooting and customer communication skills
- A networking qualification such as CCNA, JNCIA or CompTIA Network+, or currently working towards one
Experience within an MSP or managed services environment would be particularly useful, along with exposure to Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet or Palo Alto technologies.
This is a remote role; however, occasional travel to client sites will be required. Candidates must therefore hold a full UK driving licence., * Cisco CCNA Certification
