Remote Sensing / Computer Vision Specialist

• Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design
• Confident, hands-on ability with Figma, Adobe / similar modern design tools
• Comfortable working from our Sheffield office, with flexibility for hybrid working
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to present design decisions clearly

• Project management experience
• Experience with Geospatial product design
• Working understanding of front-end concepts (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with engineers
• Experience with responsive design, design systems and accessibility standards (WCAG)

Role Description

We’re hiring a UI/UX Designer to join TreeStock full-time in Sheffield. This is a hybrid role, and we’re flexible on the balance between office and home working, with the option to be in the office full-time if you’d prefer.

You’ll shape how our forest data platform looks, feels and works for the people using it: foresters, ecologists and land managers who need to move from raw data to a clear, confident decision as quickly as possible. You’ll work alongside a senior product designer on the team, but this role is about ownership rather than taking instruction on every detail. You’ll lead most of your own work end to end, and we want someone who genuinely wants to put their own stamp on it, not just execute a brief.

Day to day, that means interacting with real customers, mapping workflows, building wireframes and high-fidelity mockups, and iterating on prototypes based on feedback and usage data. You’ll help shape and maintain our design system, keep visual consistency across the platform, and work hands-on with front-end developers to make sure what ships matches what was designed.

We’re not a 9 to 5 environment. If that’s what you’re after, that’s completely fine, but we don’t punch timecards or watch the clock here. We’re flexible, and we care about the work being done well far more than when, where or how.
