Senior Databricks Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Databricks Engineer to help accelerate a critical data engineering initiative. This person needs to be a hands-on builder who can move quickly from direction to execution, while also helping shape how the work gets done. This is not a strategy-only role. The team needs someone who can help drive the engineering roadmap, identify gaps, solve problems in motion, and fly through building and execution in Databricks.

What You’ll Do

• Build and deliver data engineering solutions in Databricks with speed and quality.
• Help drive the data engineering roadmap by turning direction into concrete execution plans.
• Take loosely defined problems, identify issues, recommend solutions, and execute.
• Contribute to both engineering design and hands-on implementation where answers are not yet fully defined.
• Partner with technical stakeholders supporting migration and broader data initiatives.
• Support proof-of-concept work, including potential AI-related testing once core capability is established.

• Deep experience as a Databricks engineer with a strong track record of hands-on delivery.
• Senior-level ability to balance architecture, problem-solving, and execution.
• Someone who thrives in ownership-heavy environments and can move work forward without perfect clarity.
• Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills.
• Ability to work across strategy, design, and implementation - but with a clear bias toward building., * A senior Databricks professional who has spent a meaningful part of their career in the platform.
• More builder than advisor: someone who can get in, solve real problems, and deliver fast.
• Likely currently employed and succeeding in a similar environment.
