Job description
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to support hardware deployment, server installation, break/fix activities, and infrastructure operations in a high-availability data center environment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with rack & stack, server hardware troubleshooting, structured cabling, and enterprise data center operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, rack, and deploy servers, network switches, and related hardware.
- Perform rack & stack activities following rack elevation diagrams.
- Perform server hardware break/fix (RAM, SSD/HDD, PSU, NICs, server trays, etc.).
- Install, label, route, and manage fiber optic and copper cabling.
- Perform cable management and maintain patch panels.
- Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues.
- Support hardware refreshes, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Maintain accurate asset inventory and documentation.
- Update incidents and work orders using ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools.
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to maintain high system availability.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Data Center Technician experience.
- Rack & Stack experience.
- Server installation and deployment.
- Hardware break/fix experience.
- Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo, Cisco, or Supermicro server experience.
- Fiber optic and copper cabling.
- CAT5/CAT6 installation.
- Patch panels and cable management.
- Asset management.
- ServiceNow or similar ticketing system.
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work onsite and support rotating shifts if required.
