Job description

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to support hardware deployment, server installation, break/fix activities, and infrastructure operations in a high-availability data center environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with rack & stack, server hardware troubleshooting, structured cabling, and enterprise data center operations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, rack, and deploy servers, network switches, and related hardware.
  • Perform rack & stack activities following rack elevation diagrams.
  • Perform server hardware break/fix (RAM, SSD/HDD, PSU, NICs, server trays, etc.).
  • Install, label, route, and manage fiber optic and copper cabling.
  • Perform cable management and maintain patch panels.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues.
  • Support hardware refreshes, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory and documentation.
  • Update incidents and work orders using ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools.
  • Work closely with engineering and operations teams to maintain high system availability.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Data Center Technician experience.
  • Rack & Stack experience.
  • Server installation and deployment.
  • Hardware break/fix experience.
  • Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo, Cisco, or Supermicro server experience.
  • Fiber optic and copper cabling.
  • CAT5/CAT6 installation.
  • Patch panels and cable management.
  • Asset management.
  • ServiceNow or similar ticketing system.
  • Basic networking knowledge.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work onsite and support rotating shifts if required.
