Job description

Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other reporting platforms to visualize key metrics effectively.
Design and implement robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure accurate data integration from diverse sources like SQL databases, Oracle, Talend, and other data management systems.
Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data models, reports, and visualizations.
Conduct comprehensive data analysis using R, Python, Excel data analysis techniques, and SQL queries to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvements.
Support the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by participating in analysis, testing, deployment, and documentation of analytics solutions within Agile project management frameworks.
Perform database design tasks and query management to optimize performance across SQL Server environments and other database systems.
Assist in technical proficiency assessments by leveraging tools like VBA, Bash (Unix shell scripting), Visio for process mapping, and Linked Data integration for advanced analytics projects.

Requirements

Proven experience working with SQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle in a business environment.
Strong proficiency in data visualization tools including Tableau, Power BI, or Looker with a portfolio of dashboards or reports developed.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Talend or custom scripting (Python, Bash) for data extraction and transformation tasks.
Demonstrated understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and project management principles related to analytics projects.
Knowledge of database design principles and experience with query optimization for large datasets.
Familiarity with business analysis techniques including requirements analysis and analysis skills to interpret stakeholder needs accurately.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences through effective reporting and dashboarding tools.
