Job description

  • Prepare and prosecute patent applications in electrical engineering and software-related technologies.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand and protect their intellectual property.
  • Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.

Requirements

A law firm seeks a patent agent to join their Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Patent Prosecution Practice Group in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, relevant industry experience, and excellent writing and communication skills., * 2+ years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution.

  • Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)., * Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, or physics., * Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and neural networks.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications, including 5G and 6G technologies.
  • Understanding of autonomous driving and radio frequency circuitry.
  • Proficiency in hardware and communications security, such as encryption and decryption.
