Job description
The successful candidate will:
- Provide Level 2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Manage Active Directory user accounts, permissions, security groups, and shared resources.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Windows workstations.
- Support third-party business applications.
- Assist with Microsoft Intune administration and device management.
- Support VMware environments (vSphere and vCenter).
- Assist with network services including DNS, DHCP, VLAN troubleshooting, and basic network infrastructure issues.
- Document support activities and participate in technology deployment and infrastructure projects.
- Travel to company locations as needed and participate in an after-hours/on-call support rotation.
Requirements
Birchwood Foods is seeking an IT Support Specialist II to provide hands-on technology support in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role supports end users, Microsoft technologies, network infrastructure, manufacturing-site systems, and IT projects across multiple locations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who enjoys supporting operational teams and working in a manufacturing setting.
We are looking for a technically strong, customer-focused IT professional with:
- 2-4 years of IT support, help desk, or systems support experience.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments and Microsoft 365 users.
- Active Directory administration experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, printers, and networking.
- The ability to thrive in a manufacturing environment while supporting both office and production operations., * High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of IT support/help desk experience.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Self-starter who can work independently.
- Collaborative team player with a willingness to learn new technologies.
Strong experience with:
- Microsoft Windows desktop and laptop support
- Microsoft 365 administration and user support
- Active Directory user administration
- Hardware, software, printer, and networking troubleshooting, * Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Microsoft Intune experience.
- VMware vSphere/vCenter experience.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or VMware certifications., * IT support: 2 years (Required)
Ability to Commute:
