Job description

Leidos is seeking a F5 Load Balance Network Engineer to support a large enterprise IT contract for the DOD. This role is responsible for implementation, operations, and maintenance of load balancer technologies in a global enterprise across multiple networks. Duties include upgrading to new technologies, tuning performance, and implementation of critical system patches. This infrastructure may include on-premises and cloud resources. This individual will work in a team environment to ensure mission needs are met for internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Experienced in administering and managing F5 load balancer appliances in an enterprise environment.\n
  • Knowledge of standards, concepts, and tools to be able to complete technology monitoring and management of F5 appliances.\n
  • Technical knowledge backing up PKI certificates and appliance configurations.\n
  • Experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting load balanced IP address spaces. \n
  • Experience working independently in support of customer requirements.\n
  • Experience interfacing with team members on requirements and solutions.\n
  • Familiar with IT Service Management products such as ServiceNow.\n

  • Ensure Secure Socket Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) offloading and brokering PKI authentication features provided by the F5 appliance is operational at all times.\n
  • Ensure load balancing configurations and PKI certificates are backed up in accordance with customer policies.\n
  • Alert load balancing and reverse proxy customers prior to PKI certificate expiration and assist with certificate renewals as necessary.\n
  • Create, manage, and troubleshoot load balanced IP address spaces.\n
  • Develop and implement technical solutions in collaboration with engineers and architects.\n
  • Provide after-hours support to 24/7/365 IT Operations Center personnel to assist with troubleshooting service outages.\n
  • Develop and update technical solutions, operating procedures and other documentation for 24/7/365 IT Operations Center personnel to assist with initial troubleshooting and triage efforts.\n
