Job description
- Hardware & Software Deployment: Install, configure, and deploy end-user workstation hardware, software, peripherals, and replacement laptops.
- User Onboarding & Training: Work directly with employees to schedule deployments and provide basic technical guidance on new equipment.
- Process & Inventory Management: Maintain workstation build policies, enforce procedures, and manage network asset inventories and documentation.
- Field Support & Travel: Transport and set up computer systems across various office and manufacturing plant locations throughout northern New England.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain a strong work ethic and collaborate with IS team members to deliver high-quality, on-time project outcomes.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Requirements
- Industry Experience: Previous background supporting IT operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Troubleshooting Tools: Proficiency in utilizing hardware, network diagnostic utilities, and researching technical issues as needed.
- Education & Certifications: Associate degree in a technical field or an equivalent combination of formal training and hands-on experience.
Education: High School
Experience: 1-4 years, * Hardware & OS Expertise: Working technical knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and hands-on hardware troubleshooting.
- Imaging Best Practices: Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for workstation imaging and deployment.
- Adaptability & Drive: Proven ability to work independently under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and eagerly learn from team members.
- Cross-Level Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact clearly with both plant employees and IS management.
- Physical & Technical Capability: Ability to lift, transport, and install IT equipment in office or plant settings, with dexterity for small components and tools.
