Job description

  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to ServiceNow development teams focused on Source-to-Pay, Procurement, and Finance/Accounting solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements within the ServiceNow framework and/or partner with Enterprise Architecture to suggest alternative platforms.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear technical designs and work with Solution Architects on design approval.
  • Design, develop and implement solutions that are scalable, flexible, and easy to maintain, to include leading proofs of concept for new.
  • Lead the development team in building and implementing solutions that meet approved designs and requirements, ensuring consistency of development standards.
  • Design and develop robust integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems, using iPaaS (like MuleSoft), APIs, web services, MID servers, and ETL tools, and exploring opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle, to include working with ServiceNow support and other technical teams to address and resolve critical issues, work with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions are integrated with other systems and processes.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and development standards.
  • Lead teams through Platform upgrades and act as the primary escalation point for complex technical challenges during delivery.
  • Keep updated with ServiceNow functionalities and advocate for best practices, recommending out-of-the-box solutions where possible.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of recent experience in ServiceNow development and architecture, with extensive experience as a technical leader.
  • Strong expertise in ServiceNow Finance and Accounting Operations (FAO) and/or Procurement Service Management is required. Expertise with Third Party Risk Management and Third Party Compliance processes preferred.
  • Required Certification: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).
  • Preferred Certifications: Certified Technical Architect (CTA), or Certified Master Architect (CMA), or platform micro-certifications.
  • Experience in supporting business solutions hosted on ServiceNow from a developer or administrator perspective, inclusive of the challenges associated with upgrades, integrations, and operational support.
  • Strong understanding of practical application of ServiceNow as it relates to industry solutions, as well as the interconnectedness between modules and features.
  • Proven familiarity with ServiceNow and other technology platforms commonly used to service core business functions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
