Job description

We are actively seeking an Embedded Software Engineer near Hartford, CT for a direct hire, full time position. This is an onsite role. Ideal candidates will have expertise in C/C++ programming, Windows based development, and image processing for industrial technology., * Architect, build, validate, and maintain software architectures for industrial printing machinery

  • Create Windows-centric software utilities using Visual Studio, C/C++, MFC, Win32 API
  • Manage communication pathways via TCP/UDP sockets and low-level hardware protocols
  • Formulate image rendering capabilities tailored for printing workflows
  • Engage in technical documentation writing, peer code evaluations, diagnostic testing, debugging
  • Support build pipelines, release cycles, continuous integration loops

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum five years of software engineering experience
  • Extensive proficiency in C and C++ programming
  • Experience connecting software to physical hardware, firmware, or embedded microcontrollers
  • Proficiency in Visual Studio for C/C++ development and familiarity with MFC
  • Knowledge of TCP/UDP networking protocols and Win32 API frameworks.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with digital image processing or graphical application design
  • Python programming capability
  • Exposure to automated testing suites and continuous integration/deployment pipelines
  • Knowledge of barcode symbology and encoding standards
