Job description
Banshee Brands is the parent company of two firearms and optics brands, and we’re building an in-house creative engine to feed all of them.
This is a hands-on production design job. You’ll report to the Director of Marketing and turn briefs into finished, shipped creative: email heroes, web banners, social assets, packaging, hangtags, catalog spreads, dealer materials, and trade show graphics. Real volume. Real deadlines. Three brands.
Here’s what makes it different from every other designer job you’re looking at, Ensure every visual touchpoint aligns with brand guidelines and resonates with the outdoor and shooting community.
Campaign Creative
Develop hero imagery and promotional graphics for product launches, seasonal sales, and ambassador features - starting with Aegis and the Aegis-on-Retay bundle.
Production Support
Work with printers and vendors on physical assets: hangtags, packaging, POP, dealer kits, and large-format booth graphics. You don’t need to be a prepress expert - our printers handle that end. You do need to hand them clean files and know what happens when RGB goes to a press., * 3D product rendering - Blender or KeyShot. Rendering a gun in a new camo pattern, or an optic on a new host, without a photoshoot is a superpower here.
Requirements
-
2-4 years in graphic design or brand creative. Agency or in-house both fine.
-
Expert-level Adobe Creative Cloud. Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign are non-negotiable. This is a hard filter, and we will test it.
-
Demonstrated commercial AI image work. Not experiments - work that shipped, that you can walk us through step by step. This is the heart of the role. Everything else on this list is teachable; this is what we’re actually hiring for.
-
Print-ready file preparation. Bleeds, color modes, die lines, packaging. You hand printers clean files. Deep prepress expertise is a bonus, not a requirement.
-
Speed and self-management. You take a brief, ask the right questions once, and come back with finished work on time.
About the company
RETAY USA - The North American arm of Retay Arms (Konya, Turkey). Semi-automatic shotguns built for people who hunt hard: the Inertia Plus rotating bolt, deep-bore-drilled barrels, factory-lengthened forcing cones. Audience: waterfowl and turkey hunters. The look is cold mornings, flooded timber, wet dogs, and gear that works at 19 degrees.
BREDA - Founded in Milan in 1861. Barrel obsessives out of Val Trompia, Brescia - the heart of Italian gunmaking. Audience: wingshooters, sporting clays competitors, and shooters who want Italian craft. The look is heritage, restraint, hand-finishing, quiet confidence.
AEGIS - Our newest brand, launching now: red dot optics for rifles and pistols. Aegis stands alone and also ships bundled with select Retay guns at launch. The audience is wider than either shotgun brand - hunters, competitive shooters, and defensive users. The look is precision, glass, and technology: macro detail, through-the-optic reticle shots, clean spec-forward layouts.
You’ll help define what Aegis looks like from its first year. Most designers don’t get to do that once, let alone at a brand shipping on day one., * Judgment. You know when not to use AI. Fake-looking hero shots get sniffed out fast in the hunting world, and the brand equity we’d burn is worth more than the render time we’d save.
-
Hybrid product workflows - this is the whole ballgame. Our products have to be right. General-purpose models render firearms badly - wrong actions, floating parts, impossible geometry - and hunters catch it in half a second. You’ll composite real product photography (we have a library, and you’ll have studio access) into AI-generated environments: masking, inpainting, relighting, reference-driven consistency. Not text-to-image guesswork.
-
Volume. Ten concepts before lunch is the point. Shipping one that looks like AI slop is not.
-
Licensing. Not every model grants clean ownership of its output, and terms change constantly. You check before it runs in a paid campaign.
Where This Role Goes
We’re hiring for what you can do now, and funding what you’ll be able to do next.
Year one, you own the still-image pipeline across all three brands.
Beyond that, video. Meta and Google restrict firearms advertising hard, which means organic short-form is one of the few channels that genuinely works for us - so it matters, and it’s where this role grows. AI video platforms like Higgsfield, Runway, Veo, and Kling are a natural extension of the compositing instincts you’ll already have. If you can already do it, that’s a real advantage in hiring.
Two years from now you’ll have a skill stack and a body of work almost nobody in this industry has. That’s the deal we’re offering., RETAY USA is the North American strategy and market development company handling all North American and South American brand and product development for Retay Arms of Konya Turkey. In addition to strategy development and deployment, RETAY USA handles all aspects of specific marketing and brand development within the United States, as well as providing the logistics associated with import, distribution, and warranty service for the RETAY brand within the United States. Our headquarters is located in Easton, Maryland on the banks of the beautiful Chesapeake Bay in the waterfowl hunting capital of the Mid-Atlantic. The area is an outdoor enthusiasts paradise with world class hunting, fishing and watersports of all kinds and are just a stone’s throw in all directions.
