Design Engineer

We have partnered with an industry leader who are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing innovative outdoor shade solutions for public spaces, recreational areas, and commercial properties. In this role, you’ll combine engineering expertise with design creativity to deliver safe, sustainable, and visually compelling structures.

If you enjoy collaborating across disciplines, including a heavy customer/client focus, this role is ideal for you, * Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field

• Experience designing and engineering shade structures or similar outdoor systems
• Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit) and structural design software (e.g., RFEM)
• Strong understanding of materials, tensioned fabric systems, and structural components
• Knowledge of environmental factors (wind loads, UV exposure, durability considerations)
• Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and zoning regulations
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
