Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team and drive data-driven decision-making across our organization. In this role, you will harness your technical expertise and analytical skills to interpret complex data sets, develop insightful reports, and create compelling visualizations that inform strategic initiatives. This paid position offers an exciting chance to work with cutting-edge analytics tools and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment., * Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using advanced data analytics tools to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports utilizing business intelligence platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools to facilitate real-time decision-making.
  • Manage data extraction, transformation (ETL processes), and loading (using tools like Talend or custom scripts) from various SQL databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or SQL-based systems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, perform analysis, and translate needs into effective data models and visualizations.
  • Conduct database design and query management to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and integrity across multiple platforms.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including analysis, testing, deployment, and maintenance of analytics solutions within Agile project frameworks.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation using tools like Visio for process flows or technical specifications to support ongoing system enhancements.
  • Support the integration of linked data sources for enriched analytics capabilities and improved reporting accuracy.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to craft engaging dashboards and reports.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL programming for database querying, management, and optimization across SQL Server or Oracle environments.
  • Experience with ETL processes using Talend or similar tools to automate data workflows efficiently.
  • Expertise in programming languages including R and Python for statistical analysis and automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies such as Agile for project planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of database design principles and data model development to support scalable analytics solutions.
  • Ability to perform Excel data analysis combined with VBA scripting for advanced reporting tasks.
  • Experience working with Bash (Unix shell scripting) for automation in Linux environments.
  • Understanding of business intelligence concepts including dashboard development, reporting standards, and analysis skills.
  • Strong requirements analysis skills to translate business needs into technical solutions effectively.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle analysis for continuous improvement of analytics systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams while managing multiple projects within a fast-paced setting.
