About the Role
We are looking for a talented, creative and proactive Social Media Specialist with a strong understanding of marketing strategy and processes.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in raising the profile of our organisation, strengthening our national presence, and growing engagement across a range of digital channels and communities.
The successful candidate will lead and deliver an ambitious social media and content strategy that positions the organisation as a trusted and influential voice within the education sector. They will be responsible for managing our social media platforms, creating engaging and impactful content, growing our online communities, developing relationships with influencers and sector partners, and using data and insights to continually improve performance and reach.
A key aspect of the role will be nurturing and growing our thriving Facebook community, creating opportunities for meaningful engagement, professional dialogue and the sharing of sector-leading practice.
The successful candidate will work within the marketing team and support with additional tasks where required, such as email copywriting, design work, CRM system support, studio event assistance, and other relevant duties.
We are looking for someone who combines creativity with strategic thinking, enjoys building relationships, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about using digital channels to connect, inspire and influence audiences at a national level., * Lead and grow our presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn
- Create engaging content that showcases our expertise, products, events and impact
- Work closely with the Curriculum Team to turn great practice into inspiring digital content
- Capture photos and videos from schools, events, conferences and exhibitions
- Manage and grow our Facebook Community Group, encouraging conversation, collaboration and engagement
- Build strong relationships with customers, partners, influencers and sector experts
- Respond to comments, messages and enquiries in a friendly, professional and timely way
- Help raise the organisationās national profile through creative campaigns, thought leadership and sector engagement
- Promote conferences, exhibitions, roadshows, publications and speaking opportunities across our digital channels
- Ensure all content reflects our brand, values and reputation for quality
- Contribute to wider marketing, PR and communications activity across the organisation
- Keep up to date with social media trends and identify new opportunities to grow our reach and impact
- Monitor performance across channels and use insights to continually improve results
- Track engagement, audience growth and campaign success, providing regular updates and recommendations
- Create digital assets and publications as part of the wider marketing team
Requirements
- Proven experience managing multiple social media platforms
- Experience developing and implementing social media strategies
- Strong content creation skills, including copywriting and storytelling
- Experience creating and monitoring paid social media advertisements
- Experience creating and editing video content
- Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube
- Experience using social media scheduling and analytics platforms
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Creative, proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar software
Desirable
- Experience within education, training or consultancy sectors
- Graphic design experience
- Experience working with CRM systems such as HubSpot
- Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing principles
- Experience supporting events, exhibitions or conferences
- Understanding of learning environment design and educational spaces
- Knowledge of Google Ads and website analytics
