Job description
- Perform preventive maintenance on computers, network equipment, software, and peripherals
- Repair and install computers, network equipment, cabling, software, and peripherals
- Maintain current knowledge of all instructional technology used in the school system
- Aid teachers and administrators in the proper operation of computer-based equipment
- Provide hardware and software training for school staff
- Maintain work orders and job-related documentation
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, administrators, and others
- Ensure adherence to good safety standards
- Participate successfully in the training programs offered to increase skill and proficiency related to the assignment
- Respond to inquiries and concerns in a timely manner
- Performs such other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by the higher authority
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Terms of employment shall be consistent with the law relating to employment by a school system in the State of Alabama. Twelve-month year, with a salary scale established by the Board for this position.
EVALUATION: The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s Policy on Evaluation of Personnel.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Operating systems?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Demonstrated skill in computer hardware and software
- Demonstrated skill in Thin Client installations
- Demonstrated skill in operating systems
- Good communication skills
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience (5+ years in the field)
REPORTS TO: System Technology Coordinator
JOB GOAL: To provide assistance in the installation, repair, and maintenance of the computers, networks, Thin Clients, and other technology throughout the Colbert County School System
