Technology Specialist

To provide assistance in the installation, repair, and maintenance of the computer and communications networks throughout the Muscle Shoals City School System., * Perform preventative maintenance on computers, servers, network equipment, software and peripherals.

• Repair and install computers, servers, network equipment, software, and peripherals.
• Maintain current knowledge of all instructional technology used in the school system.
• Aid teachers and administrators in the proper operation of computer based equipment.
• Provide hardware and software training of school staff.
• Maintain work orders and job related documentation.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, administrators, and others.
• Ensure adherence to good safety standards.
• Participate successfully in the training programs offered to increase skill and proficiency related to assignment.
• Respond to inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
• Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as may be assigned by higher authority.

Do you have experience in Operating systems?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Associates degree in electronics or computer related field (or equivalent experience)

• Knowledge of computer hardware and software
• Knowledge of operating systems and Microsoft networking
• Ability to build, repair, and service a variety of technical equipment
