Java Applications Developer

About the role As a Senior Java Developer, you will contribute to reliable, scalable software that directly supports the quality and continuity of digital services. reliability - Translate business requirements into technical solutions and safeguard technical quality - Improve the performance, security, and maintainability of existing applications - Collaborate with product, QA, and other developers to deliver solutions on time and with care - Review colleagues’ code and coach team members on best practices - Identify technical risks and actively contribute to architectural decisions ## Requirements - At least 5 years of experience as a Java Developer or in a similar backend role - Strong knowledge of Java and common backend principles - Experience with REST APIs, data modelling, and relational databases - Familiarity with software testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices - Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written - HBO- or WO-level thinking, preferably in computer science or a related field ## Nice to have - Experience with Spring Boot - Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP - Experience with microservices architectures - Knowledge of containerisation with Docker or Kubernetes - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment Java developer
