Job description

At Eneco we work towards one clear goal: being fully climate-neutral by 2035. Getting there means turning huge amounts of energy data into something people can see, understand and act on.

As a Senior Full Stack Developer you build the platforms that make that possible, from the data pipelines underneath to the interfaces on top. You do this in an engineering culture where we share knowledge, review each other’s work and give you room to shape how things are built.

  • You build modern, responsive web applications with frameworks like Vue.js or React.
  • You design clear interfaces, dashboards and data visualisations: filtering, search, drill-down and real-time displays.
  • You develop scalable backend services and APIs, and connect multiple internal and external data sources.
  • You build business logic, aggregation services and data processing pipelines.
  • You work with REST APIs, WebSockets and real-time communication patterns, and keep databases and queries fast.
  • You set up monitoring, logging and alerting, and contribute to automated testing and code reviews.

  • Robust end-to-end solutions, from data through backend to a clear user experience.
  • Reliable, scalable and secure services that perform well under real load.
  • Sound technical choices: architecture, technology selection, authentication and authorisation.
  • Clear monitoring, logging and observability, so issues get caught early and fixed structurally.

  • You have solid experience as a full stack developer and feel at home on both sides of the stack.
  • Frontend: you’re strong with Vue.js or React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and visualisation libraries.
  • Backend: you build REST APIs and WebSocket services and work with SQL. Experience with Node.js, .NET, Java or Python fits well, and exposure to platforms like Databricks or Snowflake is a plus.
  • You understand distributed systems, security, CI/CD, observability and working in the cloud.
  • You communicate clearly, work well with stakeholders and feel comfortable in an Agile team.
  • Experience with analytical dashboards, time-series data, real-time processing, or some exposure to forecasting, machine learning or data governance is a nice bonus, not a must.
  • Recognise yourself in most of this, but not every requirement? We’d still love to hear from you.

You join an engineering team that works closely with business stakeholders, product owners and analysts. Together you turn complex requirements into high-quality software. You’ll have real influence on architecture and engineering practices, and the freedom to bring in your own ideas.

  • You own solutions end to end, from data ingestion through backend services to the screens people actually use.
  • You build data-intensive, real-time applications: dashboards, KPI monitoring and live data displays that drive real decisions.
  • Your work helps make our energy data visible and usable, which directly supports the energy transition.

Requirements
