Design Engineer

Our customers include civil engineering and construction contractors, asset owners, and consulting engineering firms through to small builders., Due to continued growth, we are currently looking for a design engineer to join our engineering team in Ashton-in-Makerfield. Reporting to a Design Team Leader, you will be responsible for producing temporary works designs for excavation support, propping, formwork and falsework., * Prepare temporary works designs for groundworks and eventually other product schemes.

• Checking designs and drawing in accordance with BS5975:2019
• Attend client meetings and carry out site visits.
• Review design briefs provided by the sales team through Launchpad and provide feedback if more information is required.
• Managing your own workload§ Contribute to continuous improvement projects as agreed by the Engineering Director.

The role would suit an engineer with a few years post graduate experience with demonstratable technical experience in structures or geotechnical design and a sound understanding of temporary works. • At least 3 years experience designing temporary works
• The ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
• Experience of designing Formwork & Falsework
• Good understanding of CDM 2015
• Experience utilising AutoCAD 2D and/or REVIT

We would also love it if you have:

• Experience of checking Groundworks
• Experience working for a supplier or in a commercial environment
• Some experience working on site
