Job description

  • Provide deskside and classroom IT support across four school sites in Seaford.
  • Diagnose and resolve day-to-day IT issues for staff and, where appropriate, students.
  • Develop practical knowledge and experience across a broad range of IT technologies, including network and IP connectivity troubleshooting, audio-visual equipment, Windows 11 troubleshooting, Windows 10/11 imaging and deployment, and basic Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Build hands-on technical and customer service skills through structured training, mentoring, and real-world experience from day one.
  • Assist with IT projects, device deployments, and other technology rollouts.
  • Travel between school sites as required to provide responsive on-site support.

Requirements

  • We require applicants aged 18 or over with the right to work in the UK.
  • We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and a willingness to learn.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills are essential.
  • You should be friendly, proactive, and able to work well as part of a team.
  • You must also be able to work independently when required.
  • You should be comfortable in a physically active role, including regular walking around and between school sites and occasional manual handling of IT equipment.
  • You must be prepared to get involved and be hands-on from day one.
  • You must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a business-insured vehicle is desirable.
  • Previous experience providing 1st line IT support, particularly within a school, Multi Academy Trust or as part of an IT apprenticeship, is desirable.
  • GCSE or equivalent is preferred.
  • Technical support experience of 1 year is required., We are recruiting a motivated and reliable Junior IT Support Technician to join our team in Seaford, East Sussex, supporting one of our education customers, a Multi Academy Trust spanning Primary, Secondary, and Sixth Form schools. This is a full-time, site-based role with travel between four school sites as needed.
