Job description

Insight Global is seeking a cleared NOC Technician to support a mission-critical network operations environment at Pearl Harbor, HI. This role is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, restoring, and maintaining complex transport and IP networks that support essential government and defense operations.

What You’ll Do -Monitor and maintain transport and IP network services to ensure maximum network availability and performance. -Troubleshoot and resolve network outages, alarms, and service-impacting incidents in real time. -Execute circuit restorations, alternate routing, and outage recovery activities during planned and unplanned disruptions. -Support network infrastructure including routers, switches, optical transport systems, and multiplexers. -Perform hardware and software upgrades, configuration changes, and network maintenance activities. -Analyze network performance metrics and proactively identify potential issues before they impact customers. -Document troubleshooting efforts, incident resolution activities, and operational procedures. -Collaborate with internal engineering teams, government agencies, and customers to maintain mission readiness.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI security clearance. -Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570-compliant certification. -Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of networking experience. -Experience supporting transport and IP network environments. -Hands-on experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and restoring network services. -Experience performing circuit reroutes and outage recovery operations. -Knowledge of network alarms, incident management, and change management processes. -Experience working with Cisco and Juniper networking technologies. -Familiarity with MPLS, optical transport networks, routing, and switching. -Ability and willingness to work any shift in a 24x7 operations environment.

Preferred Experience -Network Operations Center (NOC) experience supporting enterprise or defense networks. -Experience supporting DoD or government communications environments. -CCNA, JNCIA, or similar networking certifications.
