Software Developer

We’re looking for a talented Full Stack Developer to join our Technology & Change team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide family leave cover.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Developer who enjoys working across both front-end and back-end technologies, building high-quality applications, solving complex problems and collaborating with a supportive and agile team.

You’ll play a key role in delivering new features, improving existing systems and helping us create technology solutions that make a real difference to our colleagues and customers.

As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable web applications using C#, .NET and Angular
• Build responsive, user-focused front-end experiences using Angular and TypeScript
• Develop and support back-end services, APIs and integrations.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and colleagues across Technology & Change to deliver valuable solutions
• Participate in sprint planning, refinements, code reviews and retrospectives
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes and implement effective fixes
• Contribute ideas that improve performance, quality, security and user experience

• Commercial experience developing applications with C# and .NET
• Experience with TypeScript
• Strong understanding of SQL databases and query development
• Experience working with REST APIs and modern web technologies
• Understanding of software development best practices, including testing and version control
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Desirable

• Experience with PostgreSQL and Angular
• Experience using Docker and containerised applications
• Exposure to cloud-based environments
• Experience working across the full software development lifecycle
