Job description

Experteer Overview As a Senior Backend Developer on the Engine team, you build and evolve the Recipe runtime that powers Workato’s automation platform.You will work across Ruby and Go, improving execution of custom code and integrating data storage systems at scale.You contribute across the development lifecycle, review peers, and provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams.You help optimize performance, reliability, and security while exploring new tech like Rust and WASM.This role offers impact on a mission-critical platform trusted by enterprise customers.Compensaciones / Beneficios- Build/extend/troubleshoot/fix complex Ruby and Go applications and microservices- Improve execution engine for custom third-party code (Ruby DSL, isolation, performance, new features)- Write well-designed, testable Ruby and Go code- Integrate data storage solutions (Postgres, S3, DynamoDB, Kafka, ClickHouse)- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle- Provide code reviews and technical leadership across teams- Evaluate and propose improvements to existing systems; identify bottlenecks and bugs- Maintain code quality, organization, and automation- Explore new technologies (Rust, Wasm) and related toolingResponsabilidades- 7+ years of experience building scalable distributed backend applications- Strong understanding of distributed systems patterns and algorithms- Deep knowledge of web app components (databases, load balancers, app servers, message brokers, caching, monitoring)- Excellent understanding of network protocols and stacks- Solid DB technologies knowledge (classic and NoSQL)- Multilingual programming experience (Ruby and Go required; Rust optional) with at least two languages- Basic understanding of cloud deployments (k8s, Terraform, ArgoCD)- Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)- Excellent debugging, analytical, problem solving, and social skills- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (7+ years)Requisitos principales-

  • Deep knowledge of web app components (databases, load balancers, app servers, message brokers, caching, monitoring)
  • Excellent understanding of network protocols and stacks
  • Solid DB technologies knowledge (classic and NoSQL)
  • Multilingual programming experience (Ruby and Go required; Rust optional) with at least two languages
  • Basic understanding of cloud deployments (k8s, Terraform, ArgoCD)
  • Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Excellent debugging, analytical, problem solving, and social skills
