Job description

OSAAVA Services is seeking a Journeyman Network and Computer Systems Administrator to support the 53rd Wing at Eglin AFB, Florida. The selected candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure and computer systems in a dynamic DoD environment. This is a hands-on role requiring a technically proficient professional who can operate independently and deliver consistent results in a mission-focused setting., Administer, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and network infrastructure components supporting the 53rd Wing mission

  • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • Monitor network performance and availability; diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Support installation, configuration, and lifecycle management of workstations, servers, and peripheral equipment
  • Maintain system documentation, configuration records, and change management logs in compliance with DoD standards
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel to ensure systems remain compliant with STIG requirements and applicable DoD security policies
  • Respond to and resolve IT trouble tickets in a timely manner; escalate complex issues appropriately
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end users, including military and civilian personnel

Requirements

Active Top Secret clearance (required at time of application)

  • 2-5 years of experience in network and computer systems administration
  • Proficiency with Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy)
  • Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining Cisco or equivalent network hardware
  • CompTIA Security+ (IAT Level II compliant) - required
  • Experience working in a DoD or U.S. Air Force IT environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network layers
  • Ability to work on-site at Eglin AFB, FL, TS/SCI clearance
  • CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification
  • Experience with STIG implementation and RMF compliance
  • Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing platforms (Remedy, ServiceNow)
  • Prior support of USAF Wing-level operations or comparable DoD command environment
  • Experience with endpoint management tools (MECM/SCCM)
