Job description

OSAAVA Services is seeking a Junior Network and Computer Systems Administrator to support the 53rd Wing at Eglin AFB, Florida. The selected candidate will assist in the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure and computer systems in a fast-paced DoD environment. This role is ideal for an early-career IT professional with a strong foundation in networking and systems administration who is ready to grow their skills supporting a critical Air Force mission., Assist in the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, and network infrastructure supporting the 53rd Wing

  • Support administration of Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • Monitor network and system performance; identify and escalate issues in a timely manner
  • Assist with installation, imaging, and lifecycle management of workstations and peripheral equipment
  • Maintain accurate system documentation and update configuration records per DoD standards
  • Support cybersecurity personnel in ensuring systems remain compliant with STIG requirements and applicable DoD security policies
  • Respond to and resolve IT trouble tickets; escalate complex issues to senior administrators
  • Provide courteous, professional technical support to military and civilian end users

Requirements

Active Top-Secret clearance (required at time of application)

  • 1-3 years of experience in network or computer systems administration
  • Foundational knowledge of Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy)
  • Basic experience with network hardware configuration and troubleshooting
  • CompTIA Security+ (IAT Level II compliant) - required, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
  • Ability to work on-site at Eglin AFB, FL
  • Strong communication and customer service skills in a DoD environment, CompTIA Network+ certification
  • Experience in a U.S. Air Force or DoD IT support environment
  • Familiarity with STIG implementation and RMF compliance processes
  • Experience with ITSM/ticketing platforms (Remedy, ServiceNow)
  • Prior military service or DoD contractor background
  • Exposure to endpoint management tools (MECM/SCCM)
