Job description

As the Mechanical/Electrical Installation Lead you will lead and manage project installations at customer sites. Primary duties include leading the onsite team providing on-site installation direction, safe and timely electrical installation, troubleshooting, and resolution of multiple operating machines within a manufacturing industrial environment., · Responsible for the mechanical and electrical services provided to clients on site and the day-to- day supervision and monitoring of all ongoing work on site.

· Supervise and coordinate on-site teams and sub-contractors, ensuring they complete tasks on time and safely to required standards

· Communicate with customer contact on site for daily updates or on-site needs.

· Allocate work and ensure completion in accordance with the project schedule.

· Provide supervision and monitoring of costs, schedules, safety, and direction on all project work.

· Adhere to all Statutory Standards and Regulations

· Responsible for daily checks on equipment so that they work at optimum efficiency

· Create, allocate and control shift requirements for all teams/sub-contractors and maintain relevant records

· Assist teams with resolving matters arising

· Responsible for ensuring that teams and subcontractors’ deadlines are met with due care, without undue delay

· Directly accountable for day-to-day requirements of project stakeholders

· Plan and organize ad-hoc works and/or variation requests together with planned activities for plant and equipment

· Keep up to date with and have an awareness of new products and new improved working methods that can add value by improving quality and reducing costs

· Complete project documentation and reports accurately and concisely

· Identify corrective actions and implementation of countermeasures to maximize productivity

· Ensure relevant materials and consumables are identified, sourced, and delivered in a timely manner to minimize project disruptions, maintain records and controlling stock

· Maintain effective health and safety systems, including completion of risk assessments, method statements, toolbox talks, etc.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Safety regulations?, Do you have a Trade school?, · Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

· Trouble shooting industrial electrical control systems down to component level

· An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls, and power transmission systems.

· A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

· Familiar with steam generating systems and safety compliance

· Allen Bradley Studio 5000, PLC trouble shooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude.

· AutoCAD at a basic level for project layout, preferred

· Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.

· Working knowledge of power transmission equipment and bearings.

· Able to install and trouble shoot basic 3 phase motor control circuits EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:

· High school diploma or equivalent or Technical School degree

· Engineering or Engineering Technology degree a plus

· 10 + years of mechanical and electrical experience, * Mechanical assembly: 5 years (Required)
