Requirements

  • Experience with Educational Technology (LMS, CMS, assessment, courseware, analytics, etc.)

  • Ability to build web applications in Javascript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Ability to provide technical leadership to a team of UX Developers.

  • Ability to solve complex problems with technical solutions.

  • Ability to break down features into tasks and estimate implementation effort.

  • Ability to work closely with, and incorporate feedback from clients, designers and other engineers.

  • Ability to provide consulting for clients regarding technology and user experience.

  • Ability to design and implement responsive design and support a wide range of devices.

  • Ability to address questions and influence decisions on technical and experience topics in verbal and written communication.

  • Experience providing technical leadership to a development team.

  • Experience with Javascript frameworks like React, Angular,Vue, Lit Element, etc.

  • Experience with Javascript build tools like Vite, Angular CLI, Webpack, etc.

  • Experience with CSS frameworks like Sass, Tailwind, and CSS Modules.

  • Experience consuming APIs from a back end via REST or GraphQL.

  • Experience with version control systems like Git.

  • Experience with testing frameworks (unit testing and e2e).

  • Experience with user experience design and usability.

  • Experience with responsive design.

  • Experience with accessibility.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of experience developing modern web applications.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience with CSS in JS like Styled Components and Emotion.

  • Experience with Web Components, and knowledgeable about their usage.

  • Experience with the agile methodology and associated ceremonies (epics and stories, scrum, sprint demo, retrospective, etc.).

  • Experience with Learning Experience Design.
